Publique – bakery shop, Hongdae
The small, old, so old 2 storey house on the back street nearby Sangsu station attracts people constantly. If you don’t know the reputation of this spot, you could just pass by this ordinary structure. When you come in through the ordinary door, the small yard with 2 tables will be in sight. Until this, you cannot recognize this is the famous bakery shop.
There were busy actions of the staffs across the window. And lots of bread.
The tiny space is packed with people in line for their turns who want to get the bread made with original french ingredients. The fresh beautiful breads came out from the bakery oven and were displayed on the shelves.
Publique means ‘public’ in English. They would like to present french public bread for the many people. They have imported flour milled in the traditional way from France directly and make the products with natural yeast. The healthy foods.
The chocolate bars. They use original Valrhona chocolates.
On the menu of beverages, they wrote the source of the ingredients. I saw the name of the shop that I posted before, Pot boiling tea(Dajung). There were no empty seats in the dining rooms, so there was no chance of having beverages. Couldn’t help heading for the door above across the dining room and get out of the shop in heavy hands with big bags of bread.
Well, people go into the store constantly. It has two doors, one connected with frond yard and another is with dining room. I went to the front door and got out of this glass door above.
Gave some croissants to my friend, got back home and had it with a cup of coffee. Tastes were so great.
